Though she's still quite young, the great flamenco cantora La Macanita has for years performed villancicos around Jerez de la Frontera, Spain at Christmas. I'm not pulling an Eliot here, but this is worth checking out more than a few times. Her solo recounts the conversation between Jesus' parents and an innkeeper who demands money, and the chorus talks about their hard winter journey.
