Winter (Millet)

I wanted to see if I could passively post something. That is contingent on (1) this post being passive; (2) this post feeling passive. Winter nights!

Yes passivity. I'm so down with it, in a way, but I can rarely do it. Some people do it with apparent ease. Some make a fetish of it. When I can do it, when I write the 12-word post, or something, I am proud, but I don't know why. I think it has something to do with the American cool... coolness. I think. Which is based on witholding things, or not needing things. For some people, tho, it has to do with limitations of time, motivation, etc.

Passivity is a force that is so often manipulated, which is why I wanted at that moment to express it on its simple terms. Far away from the proactive disposition of blogging something, but not wanting to web surf just then. And to submit to the season’s charms instead of fighting it, though the nights have been mild enough for jogging or going out.
